Organ Aging Insights, Now Available to HLI Phyisicians

Vero’s Organ Compass technology helps HLI physicians identify early signals of decline across key organ systems, supporting more personalized, preventative care decisions.

Vero's Science

Vero uses advanced proteomic analytics to estimate biological aging across major organ systems. By identifying early signals of decline, we support physicians in optimizing preventative care strategies.

Key Highlights

11 Organ Systems Covered

Vero's organ age models span 11 key organ systems - brain, heart, vascular, lung, liver, kidney, immune system, pancreas, muscle, adipose tissue, and intestine.

11,000 Proteins Measured

Vero leverages high-throughput plasma proteomic assays to measure more than 11,000 proteins from a single plasma sample.

Organ-Specific Protein Grouping

Each organ model is trained on sets of proteins most biologically relevant to that specific organ system.

Organ Aging Assessment

Our models compare each patient’s protein profile to age-matched healthy baselines to estimate biological age by organ system.

From Sample to Report: What to Expect

The Vero test integrates seamlessly into HLI’s clinical workflow. Below is an overview of the full process, from patient enrollment through delivery of the final report.

Step-by-Step Process

1. Patient Enrollment and Consent

Obtain patient consent and submit a Test Requisition Form (TRF) via email to hliorder@verobioscience.com. The TRF includes a consent form signed by the patient as well as PHI of the patient.

2. Sample Collection and Storage

Blood is drawn during the HLI visit. Plasma is separated and stored temporarily on-site until it is shipped to SomaLogic for proteomic analysis.

3. Proteomic Analysis

SomaLogic measures over 7,000 proteins in the plasma sample using their high-throughput proteomic platform.

4. Organ Aging Analytics

Vero applies proprietary models to estimate biological age across 11 organ systems, using organ-specific protein signatures.

5. Report Delivery

Vero generates a structured, visual report summarizing organ-specific aging estimates and returns it to the HLI physician for review.

Interpreting Results

Turning Data into Actionable Care

Vero’s organ aging analysis provides physicians with a new layer of preventative insight by helping identify patients at risk of early decline - even when conventional biomarkers remain within normal limits. This supports more personalized care decisions aligned to address decline before symptoms appear.

Use Cases

Early identification of system-specific decline

Detect early signs of aging in key organ systems before symptoms or standard labs reveal dysfunction.

Guideing Personalized Interventions

Use organ-specific insights to inform decisions about lifestyle, supplementation, follow-up testing, or specialty referral - based on the most affected systems.

Longitudinal Monitoring

Track how organ-specific biological age changes over time with repeat testing. Use trends to assess the effectiveness of interventions or inform longer-term strategy.

Future-Proofing Care for Optimized Patients

When conventional labs are stable, organ aging reveals hidden trajectories — helping you guide elite patients with the same depth you bring to their performance, genetics, and imaging.

"If it wasn't for my accelerated kidney, I would not have gone to my doctor, and my doctor would not have discovered a benign renal cyst. The Vero test empowered me to act with percision".
